Hey guys I’m excited to be writing this blog to announce that the first single off Cardiology is « Like its her birthday ». Its going to be available VERY soon for you to buy. In the meantime we wanted YOU to be able to hear it first – we tracked down this link where you can take a sneak peak –
I feel like you guys have been on this ride with us for so long now I wanted to tell you how much we appreciate your patience with us and your support. Its also why we chose “like its her birthday” as the lead off single. It has a little bit of that old GC flavor you guys might like and still sounds like us “NOW”. We always put a song on every record that’s there just for fun and this is that song. Hope you guys like it! Cant wait to get this record out to you guys and get on the road and play it for you.

Je suis enthousiaste d’écrire ce blog pour annoncer que le premier single issue de Cardiology est « Like it’s her birthday ». Vous allez pouvoir l’acheter très bientot. En attendant, nous voulions que VOUS puissiez l’entendre
en premier, donc on a crée ce lien pour que vous ayez un aperçu.
J’ai le sentiment que vous avez été dans cette aventure avec nous depuis tellement longtemps maintenant et j’avais envie de vous dire combien on apprécie votre patience et votre soutien. C’est aussi pour ça qu’ on a choisi Like its her birthday comme single phare. Il y a un peu du vieux GC que vous pouvez aimer et puis toujours notre son de “maintenant”. Nous voulons toujours mettre une chanson sur chaque disque qui est juste là pour le fun et c’est cette chanson. On espère que vous l’aimez!

La « preview » de la chanson (en faite la chanson entière mais pas en super qualité) est disponible via une vidéo postée sur YouTube.
Ayant assisté notamment au concert du 27 juillet dernier à Londres, Joel en a profité pour glisser une indiscrétion quant à la nature de cette chanson: les paroles seraient destinées à une ex à Benji, et le raccourci est d’autant plus facile qu’à la lecture des paroles une personne me vient rapidement en tête: Paris Hilton.
